Samsung Camera Assistant app is updated with 2x zoom crop on the current Galaxy S23 series. 2x zoom toggle default Camera app and according to Samsung it is standard crop but optimized zoom mode.
So called Optical Quality Crop Zoom, can be downloadable from Galaxy store as a Camera Assistant with version 1.1.03.1.
Using the primary camera this new feature works as a crop on sensor level and quality should be similar to that of the dedicated 3x and 10x cameras. For this feature you need to install the latest Samsung update release in August 2023 security patch in addition to the new Camera Assistant versions of the app.
